Annual Meeting 2024

The Order of Colonial Lords of Manors in America held its 113th annual meeting at the 3 West Club in midtown Manhattan. Three new members were inducted at the lively meeting, and the attendees enjoyed an informative talk, with slides of historic Maryland manors, by Frank Locke, the Registrar of the National Society of Descendants of Lords of the Maryland Manors, followed by a punch reception up on the 9th floor terrace overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the iconic rooftop gardens of Rockefeller Center.
Announcement was made at the meeting that the Order of Colonial Lords of Manors in America will be merging with the National Society of Descendants of Lords of the Maryland Manors, welcoming all of the Society’s current members as members of the Order. Additionally, the Order will begin accepting applications for membership from descendants of the 17th-century Seigneuries of New France (now Canada). Formerly, only the descendants of the Seigneurie of Alainville were eligible, as the borders of the United States shifted after the War of 1812, incorporating it into New York State.
